Rock and roll!!!
Heavy metal fans rioted outside a sold out Metallica concert in Bogota, Colombia Thursday night. Over 160 people were arrested.
It was the band’s first show in Colombia in 11 years.
After tickets quickly sold out at the 30,000 seat venue, people posted messages on Facebook urging fans without tickets to crash the show.
1,500 police [...]
Lady Gaga and Beyonce Team Up in “Telephone” – VIDEO
Posted on 12. Mar, 2010 by fondue in Entertainment, Music, Video
Lady Gaga and Beyonce have made a racy nine-minute video for their dance song “Telephone.”
In the video/short film, Gaga is bailed out of jail by Beyonce, and the two proceed to commit mass murder. Fun! Let’s dance!
The video is entertaining, that’s for sure. But the music is annoying (I’m not a house music fan) and [...]
OK Go, This Too Shall Pass

The indie-rock band OK Go is better known for its quirky (and totally awesome) videos than for its music. Not that they don’t produce some catchy songs…but their approach to music videos is so unique that it simply overshadows the sound.
In their latest endeavor they produce one of the world’s most complex [...]
American Idol’s Top 16

Thursday night’s American Idol elimination show brought few surprises, especially after the people voted off sang their last song. They were all terrible – much worse than I remember them being on Tuesday and Wednesday’s shows.
So who’s off? For the boys, it was John Park and Jermaine Sellers, and for the girls, Michelle Delamor and [...]
Atoms For Peace

New band (perhaps supergroup) has been formed. Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke teamed up with Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, drummer Joey Waronker of R.E.M. Mauro Refosco of Forro in the Dark, and Radiohead producer Nigel Godrich to form a new group last year that has remained un-named until now.
Introducing Atoms For Peace. The name was actually taken from a [...]
Social Distortion, New Album

Just announced on Punknews.org, the lead singer of Social Distortion Mike Ness speaks about the band’s upcoming album.
“I have a lot of writing [to do], as far as lyrics go, but we’re really happy with the direction that this record is taking, the sound of it. We’re recording it really old-school. We went back to [...]
American Idol’s Top 24
Posted on 18. Feb, 2010 by fondue in Entertainment, Music, Video
American Idol announced season nine’s Top 24 this week, and it’s a really talented bunch.
I’ve got a few favorites already (see videos below): For the guys, it’s Andrew Garcia, whose acoustic rendition of “Straight Up” gave the song a whole new life, and Todrick Hall, who is just so charming and sings beautifully.
But there are [...]
“We Are The World 25 for Haiti” Video Released
Posted on 15. Feb, 2010 by fondue in Entertainment, Music, Video
The video and single of the remake of “We Are the World” has been released. Called “We Are the World 25 for Haiti,” the song features some new lyrics and an updated musical style. But one constant is Michael Jackson’s presence. His singing of the chorus from the original recording is used, combined with the [...]
John Mayer Apologizes for Being a Douchebag
Posted on 12. Feb, 2010 by Chuck Rocker in Entertainment, Music, Scoopage, Video
I’m sure by now you’ve heard about John Mayer’s train-wreck interview with Playboy in which he used the “N-word”, made racist comments (apparently he has a “hood pass”), blurted out sexually charged references to his ex’s including Jennifer Anniston and Jessica Simpson and finally made some suggestive comments about black women. Who does this guy [...]
Is John Mayer’s Penis Racist?
Posted on 10. Feb, 2010 by fondue in Entertainment, Music, Scoopage
A Playboy interview with John Mayer is ruffling some feathers. Mostly white, oversensitive, feathers with no sense of humor. I am not a John Mayer fan; in fact, I find him very annoying. But I can tell the difference between joking around and being malicious, and Mayer was just being silly when he said this [...]
