Tonight’s results show was shocking. Not because Matt Giraud got voted off but because Adam Lambert and Kris Allen were in the bottom three. How could that be possible?
I’m not a conspiracy theorist, but I think there was something fishy about that bottom three. Yesterday it was leaked that Adam Lambert and Kris Allen had more downloads on iTunes than the other contestants. This is easy to believe and seems a pretty reliable measuring stick vote-wise. I surmise that the producers chose to neutralize this influential rumor by putting Adam and Matt in the bottom three. However, the reverse could also be true; Maybe a lot of fans heard about the iTunes numbers and voted extra times to help Allison and Danny stay in the game.
What I do know is that a lot of people were stunned tonight, including the judges.
